Celebrate St Andrew’s Day at Redwings Mountains

Redwings Mountains

Redwings Mountains will be hosting a special weekend of fun, family activities in honour of the patron saint of Scotland between Friday 25th November and Monday 28th November.

Our Angus visitor centre is offering a series of events showcasing all the great things about ponies! Get to know the little ponies with the BIG personalities during a special meet and greet with our Shetland pony herd, enjoy cuddles with our young Adoption Star Gibson, watch pony grooming demonstrations and even have a go yourself!

Redwings Mountains, near Forfar, Angus, is open all-year round every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm (closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).

After making some new pony friends, why not explore the visitor centre further and meet some of our other four-legged residents? Super-friendly Adoption Star donkey Minnie and her son Mouse, as well as sheep Toffee and Treacle, would love to see you!

There’s also 220 acres of paddocks and woodland to discover which are home to bountiful wildlife such as red squirrels and mountain birds.

Following a stroll, our Nosebag Café provides the perfect opportunity for you to put your feet up with a warm cuppa and a tasty snack, and our gift shop offers a wide variety of souvenirs with all proceeds going towards the hundreds of horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in Redwings’ care nationwide.

We hope to see you there!
